Education/School Trainings
Active Shooter Training

From the days of Columbine in 1999 until today, school campus active shooters have taken its toll on campuses across our nation.  Rich has a very unique perspective on training due to his extensive training in law enforcement as a Chief of Police, but also an educator, principal, and adjunct college professor.

It is critical for a school to go into immediate response when an active shooter steps onto your campus, and what is done in the first few seconds to minutes is critical to the survival of students, staff, and visitors.

Our training is geared toward what to do right away, all the way to what you should expect from law enforcement when they arrive.  This training has been provided throughout the years to numerous schools and school districts across the country and is updated each year as new responses and techniques are developed from the lessons that are learned from these situations.

Bomb Threat Training

This threat usually called in by an unknown person, or internet posting by a student, can disrupt any given day in the schools daily routines.  Knowing how to handle these calls and actions when posted online is key to how soon the school can get back to daily educational activities.

This training will take staff through a step by step approach from what to say on the call, how to inform law enforcement, how to grid search the campus, along with other critical information such as how to evacuate the school premises safely and notify parents of the situation.

Policy and Proceedure Guidence

It is critical that every school and district formulate both a policy and procedure to deal with these situations due to the world we live in where every school, business, law enforcement, etc. are held liable for the actions they take.  Having these written guidelines and policies in place help reduce that liability.  We help you develop these written items with our templates and work along side your legal advisors to cover all the bases.
